Judi Keyani was born in Minnesota, where she studied art as an avocation throughout college and during her professional study and practice in the field of Nursing. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Hamline University, St. Paul, a Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Minnesota and her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of California, San Francisco. Keyani’s interest in and study of art grew steadily while raising her family. Since 1994, she has devoted her time and energy more completely to art work, completing numerous formal art courses at the Pacific Art League of Palo Alto, the Palo Alto Art Center, and the Continuing Studies Program at Stanford. She travels frequently to France for art workshops. Keyani works primarily in pastels and oils. Her subject have included landscapes, still lifes, and urban scenes, as well as figurative studies, and each is chosen for interesting qualities of form, color, strong geometric components and inherent beauty. She has a strong interest in and love for the beauty and power of the natural world and in the universality of the human face and figure; the primary goal in all of her work is to reflect something of lasting value in ourselves and the world around us. Judi Keyani’s work is represented in collection in California, Florida, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Australia, Germany, and Norway.
